Questions

The ones we hear most, answered plainly.

What are excess funds, overages and excess proceeds?

They are different names for the same thing: money left over when a tax foreclosure or other foreclosure sale brings in more than was owed. That money can belong to the former owner or their heirs.

Is this a scam?

That's a fair question, and we'd ask it too. We never ask for money up front, and you never pay out of your own pocket. Look us up, ask questions, and talk with your own attorney if you like.

Why did you contact me?

Our audit of government records connected your name, or a relative's name, to a foreclosure sale that may have left excess funds.

How much money is it?

It depends on the case, and the amount can change once other claims are reviewed. Please talk with us about your own situation.

Can I do this without you?

You aren't required to use a company. But finding the money is only the start. Each state has its own rules, deadlines, paperwork and proof, and a mistake can cost you the claim. We do that work for you, at no cost out of your pocket.

What does it cost?

Nothing out of your pocket. We front the costs. Those costs and our fee come out of the money recovered, before you receive your share. If nothing is recovered, you owe nothing.

How long does it take?

It varies by state and by case. We can't promise a timeframe.

Do you need my Social Security number?

Not to talk with us. Don't give sensitive numbers to anyone by phone, text or email until you are sure who you are dealing with.

A relative of mine got this letter. What should I do?

Please let them know, or ask them to call us. If the person has passed away, you can contact us yourself.

Are you a law firm or a government office?

No. We are a private company, and we don't give legal advice. We work with attorneys across the country wherever a claim calls for one.
